PETAR JANKOVIC JURY MEMBER AT INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

From May 17-22, 2006 Petar Jankovic was a jury member at XII International Guitar Competition/Festival
held in Leskovac, Serbia. Among jury members were leading professors and guitarists from Serbia, Bosnia, and Slovenia. Very
high level of invited eight finalists were competing in two rounds for three awards. The first prize was awarded to Nemanja
Ostojic, second was shared by Bojan Ivanovski and Dusan Stojanovic and the third prize was awarded to Dusan Milivojevic. In
addition to being a jury member, at the closing ceremony Petar Jankovic has played a solo recital. The concert was broadcasted
by TV station TV5. The DVD from the concert will soon be released.
PETAR'S SUCCESSFUL CONCERT SEASON
January, 2006
During 2004/2005 concert season Petar Jankovic has performed over 30 solo recitals and master classes. Jankovic has visited
seven states during the season (California, Utah, Louisiana, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio and Iowa), and among venues played
were Detroit Institute of Art, San Diego Museum of Art, University of Toledo, Loyola University (New Orleans); Utah State
University, Xavier Concert Series (Cincinnati, OH), Biola University (CA) and Wake Forest University (Winston Salem, NC).
